The Vivarium, located on the second floor of Manchester Museum, houses a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians from South and Central America, Australasia, and Madagascar. All our animals are housed in naturally planted environmentally authentic exhibits that incorporate the latest life support systems and which meet all the species’ needs to enable them to thrive. Behind the scenes we house probably the most important collection of neotropical tree frogs in the world, including those integral to international captive breeding programmes to secure their future conservation.

Stop by and enjoy a visit to our Vivarium, its free, and you won’t be in bad company..
