Last weekend saw the opening of our new vivarium, and what a wonderful weekend it was.
After several months, the transformation is now complete..
I wish like to thank all the people who have made this wonderful project possible, all the museum staff who have worked on the project, the funders who have supported it, the designers who I have worked with to help produce it, and the artists and photographers who have all contributed towards making it look so stunningly beautiful.
I would especially like to thank my assistant, Adam Bland for all his continued support, for working so hard, and for having the patience to work alongside a man who at times must have seemed totally possessed! 🙂
I would also very much like to thank Lee Durrell for coming all the way from Jersey to officially open the new Vivarium. She is a very special person who I have had the pleasure in getting to know and for whom I have great admiration.
The reaction we have had from all who have visited this week has been breathtaking and I thank all my colleagues, family and friends who have supported our opening. Last but not least, I would like to express my gratitude to all the museum visitors who have so kindly expressed their pleasure when experiencing our newly-metamorphosed vivarium.
