Last week I arrived on the beautiful Greek Island of Corfu. However, just before I left Manchester I was visited by Naomi Kashiwagi*, a cool colleague of mine from the Whitworth Art Gallery. She is particularly fond of visiting the Vivarium and is fascinated with our Chameleons. A couple of things she seems really taken with is their colouration, and their slow, but highly focused movement. One of the stunning chameleons we have on display at the Museum is called Bubblegum. He’s a star chameleon currently on special loan from Jamie Hardy and Laura King of Chameloco, and seems to absolutely adore being on display. He is such a chilled lizard, which is something that’s also reflected in his beautiful bright blue colouration. I don’t think you could ever find a karma chameleon (sorry, a bit of cheez there especially for Adam because I know he loves it )) When our visitors come to see Bubblegum he actually moves towards them and poses right in front of the glass. He was just as chilled when I showed to show him Naomi last week:
