Well, it was a long flight, but this morning I woke in Costa Rica to the song of yellow tropical birds (pictured) and in the background the sound of San Jose coming alive. It would be fabulous to be able to just come here on a whim, but one of the main reasons I have come to Costa Rica this time is to support one of our zoology students who’s here on a placement conducting research.
While I am out here though, I’m also going to be taking time out to re-visit some of my favourite places and combine them in a new adventure – which will surely include lots of rainforest activity!
I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back here – Well, maybe I can if you would like? Because for the next couple of weeks while travelling to re-discover my gems of Costa Rica, I would love to share the experience with you and for you to be an active part of the journey. As such, I was thinking it might be good to slightly change the format of the frogblog and try to make it more interactive, with more posts and video updates on the main page and by asking for your active participation. I am not sure if it will work to make the blog more interesting, which is what I really hope to do for everyone, but it’s worth a shot – perhaps I could answer your specific questions direct from the rainforest, respond to your requests and questions on a video made especially for you, or even search out your favourite costa Rican animal? I am open to ideas so please let me know if you have any good ones. WordPress is easy to join and messages you send me do not go directly up for everyone to see. I really appreciate each and every message people send me and all the support for the blog I receive.
