This coming Saturday we have a super rainforest conservation related event on at the Museum, where there will be lots of great opportunities for visitors to come and get close up to many of our live animals and hear all about where they live. We have also invited a wide range of specialists and enthusiasts along to share their experience – and their animals! We are extremely pleased that Laura King and Jamie Hardie from Chameleoco can join us and also members of the North West Reptile Club. Laura will be giving a talk about Panther Chameleons at 2pm in our lecture theatre and I will be giving my Rainforest Adventure talk at 1pm, where I will be using related specimens and artefact from our collection and speaking about my personal experiences working in the rainforests of South and Central America. We also have Chris Smith and Liz Peel here to meet and talk to about thier expedition in Bolivia ,where they travelled by canoe through the rainforests of South America. It’s looking like it’s going to be a great day – hope to see you there!
